This Privacy Policy explains how Scan On Way collects, uses, protects, and deletes information when you use the Scan On Way website and Android application.
Information we collect
- Account data: name, phone number, email address, password credentials, country, birthday, gender, job title, and profile details.
- Profile content: profile photo, album photos, menu categories, products, product photos, social links, emergency information, privacy settings, linked cards, and quick messages.
- Visitor messages: message text, visitor phone number when provided, timestamps, and optional visitor-shared location if the visitor chooses to share it.
- Device and notification data: Firebase Cloud Messaging token and notification permission status so the app can deliver visitor message alerts.
- Authentication data: OTP verification status and Google Sign-In profile information when you choose Google login.
How we use information
- To create and manage your account, profile, cards, menu, albums, privacy controls, and emergency information.
- To authenticate login, verify phone numbers, reset passwords, and protect your account.
- To deliver visitor messages and notification alerts to your phone.
- To provide support, diagnose service issues, prevent abuse, and maintain the service.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal data. We may process data through trusted service providers used for hosting, email delivery, SMS/WhatsApp OTP delivery, Google Sign-In, Firebase notifications, and technical support. These providers process data only as needed to operate Scan On Way.
Security
We use HTTPS for production communication, server-side access controls, and limited administrative access. Users should keep their login details private and only enable saved credentials on personal devices.
Retention and deletion
We keep account data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. You can request account and associated app data deletion through our deletion page:
